Ash Street School (Worcester, Massachusetts) : ウィキペディア英語版 | Ash Street School (Worcester, Massachusetts)
The Ash Street School is an historic school building on Ash Street in Worcester, Massachusetts. The Italianate style school was built as part of a wave of school construction in the city between 1848 and 1855. It is a square three story brick building with a low hip roof. Each facade has four bays, separated by piers that rise to corbelling just below the roof line. It originally had a cupola, but that has been removed. At the time of its construction, the area where it stands was a densely populated neighborhood; it has since been largely redeveloped for industrial uses.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=NRHP nomination for Ash Street School )〕 The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980,〔 at which time the building was used as a warehouse.〔 ==See also==
